About Bearplus

Bearplus is an independent digital studio of 22 designers and developers, with offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Sydney. We've been designing and building digital products since 2016 for clients across Europe, the US and Asia Pacific. Our work has been recognised by Awwwards, The FWA and the Webby Awards.

We do our best work for companies with a complex product and a simple goal: be understood fast. That includes freight and maritime. We built the immersive experience for United Carriers and the website for Cargokite, among other logistics websites, so the language of containers, carriers and ports won't be new to us.

How we work

Five things you can hold us to.

  • Dedicated

Before we open a single frame, we dig into your business, your users and where you need to be. We ask the hard questions early, because a wrong strategy costs more than any revision.

  • Meaningful

Every layout, motion and interaction has a reason behind it, not a trend or a personal taste. We design for the people who use it and the goal it has to hit.

  • Hand-crafted

The care we put into strategy goes into every transition and line of code too. We'd rather ship something we're proud to put our name on, and you're proud to show.

  • Ownership

We treat the site like our own. If we spot a problem outside our brief, we tell you. You own every file, account and line of code at the end.

  • Win-win

We stay involved after launch, because we care whether the site performs and your goals are met. A beautiful site that doesn't grow your business is just a portfolio piece.

Project goals

This is our reading of what the redesigned site needs to do, based on your current site and our first conversations. We'll confirm and sharpen these in week one.

  1. Make the offer clear in one go

Visitors understand the offer and find the right services for their needs.

  2. Tell one story across two names

Commodity Supplies and Cargoo both appear across the site today. The redesign should set one clear rule for when each name is used, so buyers never wonder whether they are dealing with two companies.

  3. Give each service room to sell itself

Procurement, Execution, Financing, Administration and Control Tower each solve a different problem for a different buyer. Each gets a page that explains the problem, how you solve it, and the proof behind it.

  4. Put your scale up front

Trusted since 1997, 465K TEU procured and 800K TEU handled each year, a third of the world's green coffee shipments, and 12 offices from Wollerau to Manila. The design should make this proof hard to miss and easy to believe.

  5. Turn interest into conversations

Replace the one generic "Talk to an expert" with calls to action that match what each visitor came for, such as a procurement quote, a platform demo or a call with the local office.

Scope

Design and build of the Commodity Supplies marketing website on desktop, tablet and mobile. Based on your current site map, we've scoped 8 unique page designs, plus reusable templates for content your team adds later.

Core pages

  • Home
  • Services (one template for all five services)
  • Technology
  • About (company and team on one page)
  • Careers
  • Contact us

Sub pages

  • Legal pages (Privacy policy and Imprint)
  • 404 page

Design

  • Discovery workshop, site map and page structure
  • Moodboard and visual concept for the home page
  • Design system: type, colour, grid, components
  • Brand-matched visual assets and product visuals
  • Motion and interaction design

Build and launch

  • Responsive front-end build with animation
  • CMS setup for blog, case studies, events and jobs
  • Migration of existing blog posts and case studies
  • Technical SEO basics, meta data and 301 redirects
  • Analytics setup: Google Analytics, Mixpanel or your preferred tracking tool
  • CRM connection for the contact form, such as HubSpot, Mailchimp or Klaviyo
  • Speed tuning, cross-browser QC and launch

Not included New copywriting, photography or video shoots, translation into other languages, and third-party integrations beyond analytics and the contact form CRM connection. Happy to quote any of these if you need them.

Tech stack

We build on either Webflow or a headless setup. Both give you a fast, secure site. The difference is who edits what and how much custom logic you'll need later. Either way, we custom-code the animation and interaction. Webflow's built-in animation tools can't handle complex motion like our work on United Carriers.

Our recommendation Webflow

Visual CMS, all in one

Design, CMS and hosting in one place. Your marketing team edits pages and publishes posts in a visual editor, with no developer needed.

  • Built-in CMS for blog, case studies, events and jobs
  • Hosting, SSL and security managed by Webflow
  • GSAP for richer animation
Headless

Custom front end, separate CMS

A custom front end hosted on Netlify, with content in a headless CMS such as Sanity. More room for custom features and product integrations later.

  • Full control over code and performance
  • CMS setup is optional if your developers prefer to handle it
  • Better fit if the site needs to pull live data from the platform

Why not Framer? Framer is quick for small marketing sites, but its CMS is lighter than Webflow's. It caps collections and items by plan, has no approval step before publishing, charges extra for each language, and has a smaller set of integrations.

A platform site with case studies, a blog, events and four audiences tends to hit those limits in a short time, so we don't recommend it here.

Process and timeline

A 3D immersive website project often takes 10 to 12 weeks. This timeline plans for 10 weeks, with 2 weeks held in reserve for anything unexpected. The stages overlap: design runs one step ahead of development, so the build starts while later pages are still being designed.

10weeks in total, plus 2 in reserve

Stage
Overlaps with another stageRuns on its own

Weeks are counted from kick-off. The exact plan depends on how quickly we get feedback and content from your team.

Investment

The price covers the full scope above, with a high level of creative layout, motion and animation design, and micro-interactions. It is in US dollars and fixed for the scope described.

This price takes the design beyond a clean, professional site and towards award-winning, immersive 3D work like United Carriers. If that doesn't fit your current budget, we can go with a simpler design style, which means a shorter timeline and a lower cost. Just let us know.

Premium animation, interaction and graphics

USD18,000

We design and build the new Commodity Supplies site with premium animation and graphics: richer motion, brand-matched illustrations of your platform and shipping flow, and polished micro-interactions that make the site feel like a best-in-class technology product.

About 10 to 12 weeks from kick-off. With a start in the week commencing 5 October, launch lands in the week commencing 7 December, or the week commencing 21 December at the latest if we need the 2 reserve weeks.
